Thanks for the review. I am not sure it's my type of book but it does have an interesting premise.
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely a bit different from my usual reading choice.
DeleteExcellent review Jo. It sounds like a really interesting mix.
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was. Horror, occult, thriller, erotica... there was a bit of everything.
DeleteI love a good thriller, but I am a bit squeamish about horror and gore
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on horror and gore either. This wasn't too much though. Definitely new reading territory for me, especially with the erotic elements mixed in with it.
DeleteThis does sound interesting. I might have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit different from other stuff I've read. Would love to know what you think of it.
DeleteThis was a great review and the book sounds very intersting, I'll add this to my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteSounds scary! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat review.
It was more intense than scary although there were a few bits that had me on edge.
DeletePoor Mistress Hel... maybe she's just a misunderstood ragamuffin looking for love. :) Loved your video, thanks!
ReplyDeleteShe did have a back story which explained a lot, but I wouldn't say she's looking for love ;)
DeleteGreat review. Not really something for me though.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteGreat review! I love dark reads but I'm a big baby when it comes to horror LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks. Horror isn't my usual genre of choice either.
DeleteSounds good. This is the type of book that I would read.

If you like trying something a bit different then this is a good one. It has such a mix of elements.
DeleteGreat review, this is actually the first time I heard about this book and author, and it does looks and sounds very intriguing. Plus I really do love dark books. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome post and putting this book and author on my radar.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of them either until I got this one on Net Galley. Gary Kemble is an Australian author, and this is book 2 in the series.
DeleteI like that intense books like this aren't as unusual as they used to be. I think your review has tweaked my TBR senses for sure.
