Welcome to day 15 of the September Video Challenge. We've now reached the half way point!

I was recently contacted by the team at The Ladders who asked me to share about my first job and to discuss what I've learnt from my various job experiences, so for today's video I'm sharing just that.

I always thought I wanted to do something creative, and it turns out that's exactly the sort of job I was meant to do. The experiences I've had along the way all taught me something new though and helped me get where I am today.

I think it's important to realise that your starting point is your starting point. It's only the beginning. If you feel like you might want to do a certain job, give it a try. At the worst you'll discover it wasn't want you wanted to do after all. Even those jobs will teach you things though and take you one step closer to discovering what it is you really want to do. That way, when you do find the job of your dreams, you'll be able to throw all your passion into it.

What was your first job? Is it even related to what you do now? What advice do you have for people just starting out?
